006: the scripts that lay within
Happy Monday fellow human,
This week’s podcast sets the foundation for exploring what evolutionary biases are present in both calling for care and our tendencies towards the provision of it.
The reason for this exploration is to encourage further questioning of how we arrive at disorganised states from a human-making perspective:
What are the non-negotiable ingredients for our development?
How are these non-negotiable ingredients evolutionarily embedded in us and our caregivers?
What gaps can be identified in the provision of those ingredients in our story?
What did we do to (understandably) cope/self-soothe any underdevelopment?
How can we show up today for ourselves to repair what was not provided, reduce our reliance on coping that papers over these gaps, and make an effort to meet the cultural poverty that advances immature development across generations?
